Super easy Office 365 ProPlus deployment via Windows 10 MDM

This week a blog post about a very nice new app type in Microsoft Intune standalone. The Office 365 Pro Plus Suite (Windows 10) app type. This app type makes it very easy to assign Office 365 ProPlus apps to managed Windows 10 by utilizing the Office CSP. Additionally, it also allows the installation of the Microsoft Project Online desktop client, and Microsoft Visio Pro for Office 365. Starting with Windows 10, version 1703, it’s possible to set the default app associations via Windows 10 MDM. The last couple of weeks I did blog posts about the configuration and the end-user experience of Windows 10 and MAM-WE. One of the most common questions I received was, “what about the Office desktops apps?”. In this blog post I’ll provide the steps to get the required information about the Office desktop apps, for usage within MAM-WE app policies (or any other WIP-related policies).
